Pictures, and especially videos, can fill up your phone’s onboard storage fast. If you need to make room for apps, music, or other goodies, you need to get rid of stuff you already have on your phone. Cleaning out the Pictures hub is easy; harder is deciding what to ditch. But if you’ve synched your phone with your PC using the Zune software, you should have copies on your computer of everything on your phone.

1. Delete a Picture or Video

  1. In the Pictures hub, browse to the picture you want to delete.

  2. Tap More.

  3. Tap Delete.

Warning:

This step only deletes a picture from your phone. If you’ve synched your photos to your PC using the Zune software , you still have a copy in your Zune Pictures collection.

2. Delete an Album

  1. In the Pictures hub, press and hold the album you want to delete.

  2. Tap Delete.

3. Clear the Camera Roll

  1. In the Pictures hub, press and hold the Camera Roll.

  2. Tap Clear.
